Geoff has recently rediscovered his true love for hardstyle and decided that now is the time for a return to the genre..... geoff is set to become the epitome of hardstyle in the UK – what else would you expect from a DJ with over 100 gigs of experience spanning back to 2001, and from a DJ who went to Holland, the home of hardstyle not only once, but twice and made our european friends take note with tight mixing and second-to-none tune selection..... elements which remain in his sets today. Boozer – The Godfather of Filth *** archived biography paragraphs *** At the age of 33, Geoff Nugent is a hardstyle DJ with a wealth of experience. After teaching himself to mix in 1994 and launching into a serious DJing career in 2001 he has over 75 gigs under his belt. Geoff has played across the UK and Europe in clubs ranging in size from the small, intimate venues through to main room sets in 2000 capacity superclubs. His mixing style has been described as flawless; Geoff prides himself on having one of the tightest beatmatching styles within the business. A recent move to CDs has improved his skills far beyond that of the bedroom DJ and allows his live sets to be much more controlled and possibly even better than his vinyl days. His ability to work a set and exceed the expectations of any crowd is second to none, gaining him respect amongst his peers as a truly excellent DJ. Geoff has played at some of the most legendary venues in the country, including Lakota in Bristol, the Dance Academy in Plymouth, the Tuxedo Royale in Newcastle, Mass in Brixton, Tall Trees in Newquay and into Europe with sets in Club Merz in Dordrecht and the Fantasy Dance Theatre in the Hague. Playing alongside such names as Zatox, ASYS, DJ Zany, The Trance Generators, M-Zone, DJ Vortex, Kamui, the Organ Donors, Cally & Juice, Vandall, Jon Doe, DJ Thilo, Paul Glazby, Scott Brown, Hixxy, Daniel Billy Bunter, DJ Sy, Unknown and Many Many More. Alongside his live experiences, Geoffs Demo Mixes have been played on Radio Stations based in Canada, Italy, Belgium and Holland as well as having mixes played closer to home in the UK. Geoff has also played live internet sets several times for the online radio stations Cornish Underground and Banging Tunes Radio. Geoff is currently a resident for Positive Impact. Positive Impact was started by Geoff in 2005 and although he no longer promotes this night he still remains a resident.
